About YRC

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) unit of Bonaigarh College is a voluntary humanitarian movement inspired by the principles of the Red Cross Society. It promotes humanitarian values, health awareness, social responsibility, and service among youth.

History of YRC

The Youth Red Cross is part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement founded by Henry Dunant in 1863. In India, the Red Cross Society was established in 1920, and YRC was introduced in educational institutions to involve youth in humanitarian services, first aid, and health awareness initiatives.
